Let’s Go Outdoors!

Let’s go outdoors!  Burradon Farm is an ideal place for a UK staycation and there are a host of outdoor activities to enjoy.

Guests can relax while staying on a working farm within a short drive of the beautiful beaches and countryside of Northumberland.

We are pet-friendly so your four-legged friend can make the most of their holiday in Northumberland too!

We are very lucky to have the wonderful beaches at Seaton Sluice, Whitley Bay, Blyth and Tynemouth close by.  A little further North you will find the spectacular beaches of Cresswell, Druridge Bay, Warkworth, Alnmouth, Beadnell, Bamburgh and beyond.

Country lovers and ramblers are spoilt for choice locally with walks from the doorstep along the winding waggonways.  There are also great walks nearby at Weetslade Country Park, Plessey Woods, Hauxley, Bolam Lake or Northumberlandia.

A little further afield visitors will love the wild, wonderful and unspoilt Northumberland National Park.  Visit the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall with historic Roman Forts along its 84 miles.  Watch the sun rising over Sycamore Gap and marvel at the amazing archaeology, spectacular landscapes and rare wildlife.

There are many glorious gardens and historical sites to visit such as Wallington, Seaton Delaval Hall, Belsay and Gibside.

Our iconic castles are just waiting to be explored – discover Warkworth, Alnwick, Chillingham, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh or Lindisfarne, and more.

The North East is home to stretches of great cycle trails or explore local cycle routes straight from the door.  Why not hire a bike and discover the fantastic mountain bike trails at Kielder Water and Forest Park.

Go Ape at Matfen Hall, star-gazing at Northumberland’s International Dark Sky Park or strawberry picking at Brockbushes.

The list of outdoor activities is endless – what will you do first?!
