Arrivals

Guests may arrive any time from 4.00 pm onwards.  If the office is closed on arrival we will set a key safe for you.  The key safes are located in the alleyway next to the office.  To use the key safe you will require your Booking Reference Number – use the last 4 digits to access the key safe.  There are 8 key safes – use the key safe number allocated to you as directed by the message in the notice board next to the key safes.  Instructions on how to operate the key safe and a contact number should you have any difficulties are provided as well as a convenient map showing the position of your cottage or house and the parking areas.  All properties have clearly signed name plates.

Departures

Guests are required to vacate the property by 10.00 am in order that we can prepare the property for incoming visitors.  Guests should leave the property tidy, empty all bins and turn the heating off prior to departure.  Keys should be returned to the key drop box located near to the key safes in the alleyway next to the office.

If you prefer to do your own shopping, there are several supermarkets and a great farm shop in close proximity!

There are local shops, pharmacy and a Post Office counter in Burradon Village and several larger shopping outlets nearby, including Silverlink Shopping Park, Cramlington Manor Walks, Newcastle City Centre and the Metro Centre.

what we provide

All cottages have a hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as a fully equipped kitchen.

Bed linen and towels are included.  For guests staying longer than a week a basket of fresh bed linen and towels will be provided.  Guests have the choice of changing the beds themselves or may have the housekeepers do this for them free of charge, with prior notice.

Guests may also wish to have the facility of a cleaner, there will be an hourly charge for this.

Accessibility

Everyone is welcome at Burradon Farm, so please let us know if there is any more that we can do to make your stay a pleasant one.  Please see our Access Guide for further details.

your safety

Guest safety is our prime concern and to this end we ensure that we follow all guidelines in respect of Health and Safety and Fire Regulations.  We are a member of PASC (Professional Association of Self Caterers) and keep up to date with changes in legislation as they arise.

Guests are required to familiarise themselves with the evacuation procedures in the event of a fire – these are displayed near the front door and in the guest folder.

All front/back door locks are fitted with internal thumb turn latches as required by Fire Regulations, this will ensure ease of exit in the event of an emergency.  This means that doors have a key to open them from the outside and a thumb turn latch to lock/open the door on the inside.  There is only one key needed which will open both the front and back doors.

Smoking and vaping are not allowed in any property.

Candles are not permitted in any circumstances – guests must not bring, use or burn candles during their stay.
