We have a dedicated office opposite the cottages to greet new arrivals and help with any visitor queries. Please see the useful information below or contact us if you have a specific query.
Monday – Friday, 10.30 am – 3.00 pm
Our contact telephone number during office hours is: 0191 447 4616
In an emergency we can be contacted on: 07803 605 094 or 07801 814 922
Guests may arrive any time from 4.00 pm onwards. If the office is closed on arrival we will set a key safe for you. The key safes are located in the alleyway next to the office. To use the key safe you will require your Booking Reference Number – use the last 4 digits to access the key safe. There are 8 key safes – use the key safe number allocated to you as directed by the message in the notice board next to the key safes. Instructions on how to operate the key safe and a contact number should you have any difficulties are provided as well as a convenient map showing the position of your cottage or house and the parking areas. All properties have clearly signed name plates.
Guests are required to vacate the property by 10.00 am in order that we can prepare the property for incoming visitors. Guests should leave the property tidy, empty all bins and turn the heating off prior to departure. Keys should be returned to the key drop box located near to the key safes in the alleyway next to the office.
We welcome your canine companions however we do ask that they are not allowed on beds or furniture. An additional charge is applicable for pets.
To ensure you and your pet have a great stay, please read our doggy house rules.

We have two secure cycle storage units available each fitting up to 4 bikes. The units each weigh 114kg and are built from thick, heavy-gauge, galvanized steel panels with a strong integral metal floor, reinforced lid and double door front access. They are fitted with two external shrouded locking points and an integral deadbolt locking bar inside the doors. They are also bolted to the ground. Guests can reserve exclusive use of a cycle storage unit during their stay by contacting us directly via email or telephone. Subject to availability.

what we provide
All cottages have a hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
Bed linen and towels are included. For guests staying longer than a week a basket of fresh bed linen and towels will be provided. Guests have the choice of changing the beds themselves or may have the housekeepers do this for them free of charge, with prior notice.
Guests may also wish to have the facility of a cleaner, there will be an hourly charge for this.
Everyone is welcome at Burradon Farm, so please let us know if there is any more that we can do to make your stay a pleasant one. Please see our Access Guide for further details.
Guest safety is our prime concern and to this end we ensure that we follow all guidelines in respect of Health and Safety and Fire Regulations. We are a member of PASC (Professional Association of Self Caterers) and keep up to date with changes in legislation as they arise.
Guests are required to familiarise themselves with the evacuation procedures in the event of a fire – these are displayed near the front door and in the guest folder.
All front/back door locks are fitted with internal thumb turn latches as required by Fire Regulations, this will ensure ease of exit in the event of an emergency. This means that doors have a key to open them from the outside and a thumb turn latch to lock/open the door on the inside. There is only one key needed which will open both the front and back doors.
Smoking and vaping are not allowed in any property.
Candles are not permitted in any circumstances – guests must not bring, use or burn candles during their stay.
