Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone – here’s to a happy and healthy 2023!

January is a quiet kind of month after the Christmas madness, so why not treat yourself to a short break at Burradon Farm?!

We have 14 cottages of all sizes, from cosy cottages for two to family friendly properties sleeping up to eight.  We also have two wheelchair friendly properties and cottages on one level.

Guests tell us we are located in the perfect spot, central for all the North East’s great sights and attractions.  We are just a short drive from the beautiful Northumberland coast and countryside yet close enough to enjoy the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, day and night!

Dogs are welcome in all of our cottages and love all of the great walks straight from the door.

We are open all year round and there’s always a warm welcome for new and returning guests.

Our minimum stay is three nights* which is a perfect length to relax and enjoy the local surroundings.  Of course you are welcome to stay longer – there’s plenty to keep you occupied!

Walkers will love the breath-taking scenery and awesome coastline, whether it’s a short walk or longer hike.  You can explore many lovely routes straight from your cottage, or hop in your car to discover adventures further afield.

Cyclists will find us a great base for exploring the local area.  Take a look at some of the fantastic routes nearby.  We have secure cycle storage too!

If shopping is your thing, you are spoilt for choice.  From under-cover markets and high street stores to independent stores and shopping malls.  Don’t forget our local independent bakeries and farm shops offering an array of delicious treats.

There are SO many great activities for kids  (and adults!) in the North East.  Why not take them rock-pooling, bowling, go-karting, climbing, golfing, trampolining, sightseeing or to the beach, museums or castles.   How about a visit to one of our parks, beaches, theatres, markets, fun farms, escape rooms, bridges or independent cinemas.  Don’t forget the railway experiences, tunnel tours,  soft-play, crafting, pottery, falconry, bridges,  flight simulators, football stadium tours or inflatables. Or the BBC tours, adventure activities, swimming, high ropes, segway, boat trips and MORE!

Take a look at our blog for some great ideas of things to do during your stay with us.

We look forward to welcoming you – Happy New Year!
