Year of the Coast

2023 is the Year of the Coast!  And what an amazing, beautiful and breath-taking coastline we have here in the North East.

Only a short drive Burradon Farm, we have a fantastic 10-mile stretch of coastline linking Blyth to North Shields.  Take in the beautiful beaches at Blyth, Seaton Sluice, Whitley Bay, Cullercoats and Tynemouth.

Don’t forget to visit one of the many coastal towns along the way!  Cafes, coffee shops, ice cream parlours, restaurants and shops line the route which is linked by pavements, paths and promenades.

Try climbing St Mary’s Lighthouse, rock-pooling, watersports or marvel at the iconic Spanish City with its huge white dome.

There’s amazing wildlife to spot from sea birds to seals (and spectacular fish in the Tynemouth Aquarium!).

Tynemouth boasts an awesome Castle and Priory perched on the headland, Collingwood’s Monument, quirky Front Street shops and covered weekend market.

A little further North visitors will love exploring all of the gorgeous deserted beaches.  Enjoy Cresswell, Druridge Bay, Alnmouth, Amble, Embleton, Low Newton and beyond.

Visitors love Warkworth, Dunstanburgh or Bamburgh Castles – all with fantastic beaches, so remember your bucket and spade!

The seaside village of Craster is famous for its kippers, Beadnell beach stretches for miles, and the boat trips from Seahouses harbour are exhilarating!

Our beautiful coast has something for everyone – families, couples, groups and visitors of all ages – and don’t forget the dog!

Whatever the weather, the Year of the Coast promises to give guests amazing memories during their stay with us!
