February Half Term

It’s not too late to book a stay at Burradon Farm this February half term.  On the contrary, we are looking forward to welcoming you!  There are loads of great things to do and places to explore in the North East this half term.

Blast off to Infinity and Beyond at the Life Science Centre with their rocket fuelled space activities.  Be an Explorer for a day at the Great North Museum or Get Gardening at the Shipley Art Gallery.

Look after your Planet with Charlie and Lola at Seven Stories National Centre for Children’s Books.  Get hands on with re-cycling and make a bird feeder from a tin can or plastic bottle.

Nearby is the Rising Sun Country Park where you can enjoy building a den or bird box.
Alternatively you could take a drive out to Brockbushes for an alpaca walk, go-kart racing or face
painting.

Why not join your child in Fuego at Fenwick Newcastle for a Pizza Making Class. Kids can create delicious concoctions while parents relax with a leisurely brunch.  Afterwards, Izzy Wizzy let’s get
busy at the Sooty Show at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House, or enjoy Holes at the Theatre Royal.

Of course there are also loads of National Trust or English Heritage sites to visit in the area.  Firstly Gibside, with its acres of grounds and great Strawberry Castle play park.  Secondly, get muddy at Cragside or try out the zipwire in their play area.  Lastly, how about exploring
Tynemouth Castle and Priory, only a short drive from Burradon Farm.
