A strange but busy year!

2021 was a strange but busy year for us at Burradon Farm.  The first half of the year brought more lockdowns, followed by a wonderfully busy summer season which carried on into the Autumn.

Guests have commented really positively on our housekeeping standards and our recent VisitEngland inspection pronounced our cottages as ‘immaculate’.

We were delighted to welcome our Christmas guests, some regulars and some new guests who have already booked for next year! The cottages were decked out with Christmas trees and decorations to make the festive season go with a bang.

We are thrilled to have been able to complete a number of upgrades in our cottages over the year.

Chaff House now boasts a beautifully refurbished living room with new flooring, curtains and accessories.  It also has a new super soft stair carpet.

Both bedrooms and the hallway in Pele Cottage have been fitted with new carpets enhancing existing features of the cottage.

The living room in Jacobswell House has had a complete makeover, with new sofas and curtains completing the look.  It has also had super soft carpets fitted on the stairs and landing!

Rose and Honeysuckle Cottages have both had lovely bedroom makeovers making them really inviting and cosy.  These cottages are perfect for two and the updated bedrooms make them perfect for a romantic getaway.

We’ve also undertaken some more ‘boring’ upgrades like new doors and boilers. Not to mention new curtains and pieces of furniture here and there.

Last but not least, we have invested in some more weatherproof garden furniture – lets keep our fingers crossed for some sunshine this summer!

We hope guests enjoy all of our improvements and look forward to welcoming you to Burradon Farm soon.
