Forge Cottage is a spacious barn conversion graded 4* Gold by VisitEngland. There were no tractors to do the land work when The Forge was originally built – only horses. What used to be the tack room and blacksmiths forge has been tastefully converted into a spacious living space with the forge restored to its former glory.

  • Great cottage - We stayed here as a family. The cottage was clean and all Covid measures in place for our stay which made us feel reassured and confident that all Covid cleaning had taken place prior to us arriving. The cottage is well equipped especially in the kitchen which was great and really spacious. Would recommend a visit to Cragside, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Gardens and Kielder forest. It was nice to return to the cottage in an evening and sit in the enclosed garden. We would recommend Burradon Farm to our friends and hope to return in the future. May 2021

  • I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for 9 months. The location was ideal in terms of distance from where I was working but was also within easy reach of not only Cramlington and the surrounding area but Newcastle itself was only a mere 10 minutes away. I wanted something rural even though the farm cottage was only a mile from the edge of Cramlington, I could easily have thought I was in the middle of the countryside and not just because I was surrounded by fields of not just grass but donkeys, horses, goats and various other animals which kids would love as much as I did. The cottage itself was clean and spacious, well equipped and still held all its charm with its wooden beams and spilt door entrance. It was well furnished and maintained throughout. The garden was great for when we get a rare glimpse of the sun. I found the proprietors very helpful indeed and they made my stay very pleasurable.
