Great North Run

The 39th Great North Run will take place on Sunday 8 September 2019.  2018 saw a record number complete the 13.1 mile distance.  43,656 people of all abilities made the journey from Newcastle to the finish line in South Shields!

The Great North Run has become the UK’s largest mass participation event, with thousands of supporters lining the course.  Runners from all over the world  raise over £15 million for a variety of amazing causes.  This event is a real celebration of what makes the North East great!

Kids can enjoy the junior and mini runs, a shorter version of the run which takes place along Newcastle Quayside.

For those not running, why not enjoy the best of what the area has to offer.  A stone’s throw from the North East coastline and rolling countryside there is loads on offer for any visitor.  Don’t miss the huge arts and culture scene, buzzing bars and quirky restaurants.  Or pop across the tilting Millennium Bridge to visit the Baltic Gallery or the Sage concert venue.

Burradon Farm is an ideal location for runners and spectators – only a 20 minute drive from the start line.  We are booking up fast for this popular weekend!
