Meet “Landmarks” who can be found lumbering around near the iconic St James Park, home of Newcastle United Football Club!
Elmer’s Great North Parade has taken over Tyne and Wear from 21st August to 1st November 2019 with a spectacular art trail featuring individually designed elephant sculptures based on the much-loved Elmer character.
For 11 weeks, 50 big and 114 small individually painted elephant sculptures have taken over North East streets, parks and public buildings in the biggest and brightest art trail ever seen in the region!
Elmer’s Great North Parade is organised by and raises funds for St Oswald’s Children’s Hospice, a charity providing care, love and support to babies, children and young adults with complex needs. After the 11 week trail there will be a farewell weekend and an auction, where the sculptures will be sold to raise funds for St Oswald’s Hospice.
Come and find your favourite Elmer and enjoy the sights of the great North East!
