What a lovely and well equipped cottage, we enjoyed these things:
Thank you so much we hope to come again.
The Hayfields, Debyshire, May 2014
Thank you Will, Judy and all at Burradon Farm for making our family move to the N East so smooth and pain free! We have loved our time on the farm and will be sad to leave you. Wheatlands is a wonderful place and we have made some lovely memories here. From sleds in the snow in winter, to sleds on the grass in a very hot summer. November to August has been a super time in our lives. Thanks to all of you.
The Perkinsons, August 2013
As we are originally from Newcastle but now live in South West London we found Wheatlands the ideal base to visit and at times host friends & family. The facilities were much better than expected and our 1 year old daughter loved all the space to fly around and play with her Christmas toys! The décor is tasteful and the kitchen and lounge perfect for a bit of festive relaxation. I enjoyed talking to the owner and his son and even did a bit of research on the Burradon Tower and the lapsed Burradon Pit. We hope to be back very soon. Thanks for allowing us such a great break from the big smoke!
Knox Family, London, December 2011
A lovely cottage, not many places have the space to accommodate two wheelchair users. We had plenty of space when our family visited. A great base for visiting the beautiful North East.
The Iley family, Margate, Kent, May 2011
A very happy family get together - we stayed here 3 years ago so know the standard was very high and staff very helpful. They provided us with an extra table, bench and tablecloth for Christmas lunch with extra guests - Burradon Farm did not let us down and we hope to vist again in the future!
Coleman/Mitchell families, Surrey/Sussex, Christmas 2016
You have a wonderful array of cottages but Jacobswell is truly outstanding, so well equipped. I would definitely love to return.
Baker Family, Isle of Wight, September 2016
Once again, a fantastic stay at Burradon Farm cottages. Having the larger house this time meant that a number of family members could be together as we prepared for and reflected on the amazing day of my daughter and son-in-law's wedding. The house provided us with space to decorate wedding cakes and sit down to large family meals. In between, we toured the stunning coastline and enjoyed just having 'down time' here in the cottage. Being able to have our dog with us is always a bonus. Thnak you, until next time!
Wills-Porter family, Hants, September 2016
We have had a lovely family holiday at Burradon Cottages, 8 of us in Jacobswell House and 5 in Chaff House. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and how well appointed the accommodation is. We would be happy to return for a further visit.
Jennings family, August 2016
We have had a lovely time at Burradon Cottages. Jacobswell House was clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our 6 year old daughter cried the night before and morning that we left because she didn't want to leave! Thank you for providing such wonderful accommodation!
Henderson family, Vancouver, July 2016
Had another lovely week with perfect weather visiting family. Jacobswell House was lovely as always - sad to be leaving.

The Owens Family, Weston Supermare and The Dagons, Sydney Australia, February 2016
A wonderful place to be for Christmas – warm, spacious and welcoming. We wish all who run the cottages a Happy New Year and an assured happy holiday to all who stay in 2016.
The Chamberlain and Bothwell Families, Southampton/Camberley/New York, December 2015
Perfect for February half term. Country feel but close enough to the shops. My 4 daughters loved the horses. Lovely house lots of room. My kids loved dancing in the huge kitchen and the big comfy bed in the master bedroom for snuggling in.
Wolsley Family, Edinburgh, February 2015
We have loved our 'in between' holiday cottage. The cottages and staff have both been amazing. We have loved our visits to see the cows the most - thank you!
Rae Family, March 2016
Another great stay in Forge! It has been a while since our last stay and nice to see the improvements in furniture and fittings, and to be able to eat together in the dining room at Christmas. As always, the cottage is warm and cosy. Supermarket really close and only 15 minutes from cinemas and shops in the Metrocentre. We will return!
Czekirda Family, January 2016
Again, another great stay at the cottages, the sixth now I think. A wonderful place, peaceful and everything needed is here.
Johnston Family, January 2016
Never ventured this far North before and we loved our stay. Cottage was amazing and there is so much to see in the area. Not enough time during our visit to see a fraction of it – we will be back soon I hope.
Haines Family, Gloucester, April 2015
Thank you for providing such a spacious, cosy well equipped house. Furthermore thank you for your always caring attitude towards your guests. If we’ll come again to Newcastle we will definitely stay here!

Our second stay here and we again had a great time, could not ask for more!

We were here 8 years ago and loved it, this time it was the same experience - everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to help if we had any issues, thanks so much!
Boyd Family, USA, June 2016
It was a pleasure visiting again - it is still a cosy cottage. The beds were warm and comfy and the panorama and play space outside is amazing - hopefully we will see you next year too!
The Flintoff Family, Australia, July 2015
The Burradon Farm Houses & Cottages are for anyone looking for some "home to home" accommodation. MUCH more practical than staying in an hotel or B&B. My husband and I, our daughter, son-in-law and 19 month old grandson thoroughly enjoyed our recent 10-day stay in Chaff House. The system for collecting and depositing keys outside office hours is excellent. The ENTIRE house is equipped with ALL the mod cons from kitchen utensils to a hair dryer! There was even tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided. The beds are very comfortable and there's plenty of storage space. There are plenty of lawns where children can let off steam. Our grandson really appreciated visiting the horses, donkeys and - tractor! A 6 minute walk brings you to the local bus stop for going to Blyth or Newcastle and supermarkets are within easy reach by car. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Would go back there any time.
The Schwarz Family, Switzerland, March 2014
Had a wonderful stay over Christmas (as usual!) - we booked two cottages which accommodated 14 of us for Christmas Day and 16 for Boxing Day! Looking forward to being back again soon!
Neville and Widdowson families, Loughborough, December 2016
Our 5th or 6th visit to Burradon - Maltpool is now our favourite cottage - we look forward to returning!
O'Connor family, Bedfordshire, December 2016
Great cottage - clean, tidy and every home comfort. Well-equipped and excellent atmosphere from check in to check out - lots to do, helpful information folder with lots of tips on places to visit when in the gorgeous North East. Will definitely be back to stay again with grandsons and dog!
Scott family, Aberdeen, November 2016
A great cottage with an incredibly well-equipped kitchen. Kicking ourselves for all the visits to family spent at the Premier Inn when we could have been staying here in home comfort! Will definitely be back!.
Mearns family, Italy, October 2016
A really lovely cottage in a beautiful and convenient setting. Maltpool Cottage is spacious, clean, cosy and well-equipped - perfect for family to visit - a proper kitchen and a highchair! Having family in the North East we will visit Burradon again (and again!). A wonderful find.
Joyce and Alan, N Antrim, October 2016
We came up for the Great North Run - first time staying here and what a pleasant surprise it was! Very pleased with the accommodation, spacious, clean and everything you need - we will certainly be back next year.
Devereux-Cook family, Suffolk, September 2016
This is our fourth stay at Burradon and as always we are never disappointed. Cottage so very warm and comfortable - first class accommodation in a brilliant location. Thank you for welcome pack which is much appreciated. Brilliant for elderly parents as everything is on one level. Many thanks and well done to all of the staff.

We had a lovely stay in this cottage and would definitely stay here again. It was far nicer than the house we are renting at the moment so this is luxury! We will be back.

Benoke Family, West Midlands, August 2015
We said we would come back to Burradon Farm, so our second stay was in Maltpool and again we truly enjoyed the accommodation! Our four year old loved the farm animals and our one year old saw and petted a horse for the first time, such great memories! We shall return!
Macdonald Family, Cambridge, May 2015
The cottage had an instant feeling of home, clean, spacious and cosy! We love the fact that Hector our chocolate lab was made very welcome. We are visiting our daughter at Newcastle University and are delighted we have found a great place to stay - we will be back!

A great stay - only short but really enjoyed and felt at home straight away! Cottage very comfortable and well equipped and the Christmas tree and decorations added a festive touch - lovely! Many thanks.

Tom, Sanne and Emma, Denmark, March 2016
Thank you for a wonderful stay – the cottage was very cosy! It was so lovely and warm, everything we needed and more was in the cottage and it was very clean. Beautiful surroundings – we will definitely be back and hope to bring more of the family.
The Norris Family, February 2016
We have had a lovely time in Pele Cottage, it has really felt like home for the last 5 days!
Mike, Jen, Mollie, Ben and Pip, December 2015
We had a very relaxing stay in Pele Cottage while visiting for my Mum’s 70th birthday. Arriving from Australia we had jet lag and we were awake at all hours – it was such a relief to have space and quiet to become accustomed to the new time zone. I loved the old farm houses and the Pele tower and we had a glorious sun rise on our last morning. This is our third visit and we will be back.
The Farr Family, Australia, December 2015
Have enjoyed a very restful week in Pele Cottage. Ideally located for a New Year family get together. Rolo the dog has especially loved the farm walks, even in the rain! Everything we needs and more besides, Thank you.
Janet, Brian and Rolo, Hampshire, January 2016
It is lovely here. Thank you for the beautiful wild and windy Northumberland! The cottage was very cosy, warm and comfortable.

Good well-equipped cottage and well managed site. Will definitely come again as this cottage has enabled us to stay away for a few days. Thank you.
Holloway family, Gloucestershire, July 2015
Cottage lovely and very well updated for a disabled person.
Irving family, Cumbria, April 2015
Thank you for the milk & biscuits on arrival. We had a lovely week exploring the North East. Weather hasn’t been too bad for this time of year. The cottage is lovely & comfortable and well adapted for wheelchair users. The lower wardrobe rail is an excellent addition. The only thing missing is some grab rails in the bedroom to help with getting dressed & into bed. Saying that this is the best adapted cottage we have stayed in for wheelchair users.
Wheeldon family, Notts, September 2012
Thank you for a lovely stay. We are originally from the North East but now live in London so this was a great base to catch up with family & friends. We chose the cottage because of the wheelchair friendly facilities and were not disappointed. If only other cottage owners were so considerate! The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the Jammie Dodgers! Very cosy & homely; hope to visit again. Thank you.
We have gathered here for my best friends daughter’s wedding. People from all over the globe are here, from India, Norway, New Zealand, Canada, Australia and USA. This is a lovely, welcoming & comfortable place. We enjoyed staying here. It is like a “home away from home”. Great walks, farm life, fresh pure air and weather was very friendly. Really a great place to stay. Would definitely like to come back. Thank you hosts.
My brother and I took our 86 year old mother to visit relatives and needed a cottage that provided facilities for elderly or a disabled person. Our minimum requirement was a walk in shower and hand rails. To our surprise “Swallow Cottage” at Burradon Farm offered more than this. We were delighted with the cottage, the friendliness of the owners and how convenient it was to family and shops in the Newcastle area. The cottage was well appointed and fitted out. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone, and highly recommend Swallow Cottage if your need is for a disabled/elderly person.
Elizabeth, Sydney, Australia, August 2010
An absolutely fabulous cottage fully equipped to a high standard. Couldn’t have asked for anything better – the farm and surrounding area was ideal for a walk out and even though we had snow during our stay it was still fun. Thank you once again.
Lee and Louise, January 2016
Yet again another brilliant stay at Burradon Farm. Rose Cottage was just as nice as Honeysuckle Cottage which we had last year – a perfect holiday retreat, a definite piece of heaven on earth!
The Faulkner Family, Essex, September 2015
Beautiful stay in Rose Cottage, can’t wait to return!
Sarah and Tony, August 2015
Just a long weekend, but very relaxing. Nice garden with a lovely setting, will definitely come back!

Stay number 10 and we love it as much as ever. Perfect base to visit friends and revisit old haunts. We are already looking forward to being back in a couple of months.
The Webbs & Stanley the dog, Leicester, September 2014
Rose Cottage certainly exceeded our expectations with delightful décor and absolutely everything that was necessary for an enjoyable stay was there. We have already and will continue to recommend Burradon Farm Cottages too all our friends.
Jacksons, 2 Geordies from Western Australia, August 2013
This is sixth visit in four years and it still remains an excellent place to stay and everyone is helpful and friendly. We will be back again.
The Wills, Surrey, August 2014
